Direction of Roleplay:

Hello there Defiance community, I hope you are all enjoying what Trionworlds has brought to us and I hope you're settling in.

Now that we are settling into the game slowly, we're yet to experience any form of endgame and the likes but it is a good time to start thinking about what content do we want to capitalize on as a roleplaying community, what exactly is there that we can focus on, what content is good content and what content is absolutely amazing for the Roleplaying community.

So here is a list of things that I think are good points for us to focus on, or at least include in our community Roleplay;

Hellbugs : With this focus of Roleplay it binds the community to see and react to what a issue the Hellbugs are, from slaughtering live stock to butchering communities, halting much needed mining operations and in all making the world a unsafe place, with a community focus you can expect to see events based on the searching, identification of Hellbug lairs, extermination and some cool off Roleplay at the end.

Defiance Defenders (DD): This is a focus I like to call DD, it is the active reaction to the many organised crime gangs and societies that look to spread hate and chaos to the more passive members of Earth, here you'd expect us to do operations that revolve around finding places of interest that the many gangs find useful and halting their operations, taking members hostage and in whole, making life hard for them, this would also include clearing out dens, stealing caches, assassination attempts and rescuing hostages.

Internal Conflict: This Roleplay capitalizes on the drama created by the Syfy Defiance TV show, so expressed discontent between the many races, both conflicts before coming to earth and the new conflicts between the Humans and the many alien races.

These are just three ideas that come to mind now and I would love to see what you, the community, can think of also, I'm only one person, you see.

Now I speak of these as the focus, yes, they will be the center of my attention depending on what people pick but I will always look to have more then just one story going at a time.

I hope this thread makes you think a little about what situations we can actually Roleplay and see where it can take us.

Some thing, hmm, well, that's great!

But the fact if there was also a part of the community that wished to be some what a crime cartel, running drugs and ark tech around, that's even better for the community, making it so we can actually have a IC conflict.

Yeah iChinglish and myself are in a guild that... operates so far away from legality.. I mean uhh we are just working on contracts by... totally legal employers truly!

My main hope for the game's roleplaying community is that people try to, in general, avoid simply standing around in the bars all day proclaiming to each other how great they are. It's a very annoying trait I see in a lot of people and doubly irritating when present in a world as torn up as Defiance's. Sure I'm not going to be judging anyone who relaxes there every so often, but we have an entire world that's being split apart by a dozen very violent factions and it'll be rather crass to just confine ourselves to one area.
