Also, I went a little into "Fallen Earth mode" here, which is basically where I write stories (or backstories) that are really, really not very nice. I'm not the kind to write the nitty gritty details of dark scenes, but the concepts are there. There's nothing graphic in this one though.)

Distinguishing Features, Markings and Tattoos: Hua appears rather normal, with no scars or markings that are obvious. Her facial features and body shape are very well in proportion though her body shape is small, slightly flat-chested with mild curves at the hips. She has a couple of tattoos on her body, a small Von Bach Industries logo on the back of her right hand. She also has a tattoo on her right arm, just below the shoulder of her uncle's military unit as well as a sleeve like pattern that ran up her left forearm that resembled vines that culminated to a rose on the back of her left hand.

Biography:
張花 (Zhang Hua) is the daughter to a pair of biological research scientists at Von Bach Industries, who had immigrated to the United States from China. It was rare that she saw both of her parents at once, living in the care of her uncle instead, an ex-soldier who left the military a few years after the Votans landed due to conflicts with his superiors. She grew up learning to speak Cantonese, Mandarin and English, though Cantonese remained her primary and strongest language. She also went to an American school, learning the normal school curriculum, though she excelled in the sciences, biology in particular due to a curious and childish infatuation with her parents' work, mostly born out of ignorance. She viewed all species and all races equally, maintaining her innocence through her early childhood.

The Pale Wars tore her parents away from her even more. The fighting saw them working extra as the terraformations changed the face of the planet and often saw Hua and her uncle moving from place to place. Their home resided in one of the cities that was lost to the global phenomenon and so they became homeless, though it only really affected Hua and, to a lesser extent, her uncle as her parents were working most of the time and sleeping at their workplace on the floor. Towards the end of the war, a message was delivered to Hua through her uncle, informing them that her parents had died. Now homeless and an orphan, Hua's childish innocence was taken out and crushed in front of her. By the time Hua had turned twelve, the Pale Wars had ended.

Her uncle continued to take care of her and raised her as if she was his own daughter, working odd jobs in construction to feed himself and Hua. The two never settled and as Hua went into her teen years, it fell to her uncle to teach her or at least provide the means for her to teach herself. She spent her time when her uncle had to work on a construction site studying biology, chemistry and physics as best she could, really excelling further though her progress was stunted by the lack of any formal education. As she matured her uncle taught her the life lessons that he deemed would be important to her in this new world. He taught her all of the military skills that he had picked up, teaching her how to operate firearms safely, basic first aid, marksmanship principles, hand to hand combat and, most importantly, how to avoid fighting given that her physical frame was small and she was far from physically imposing. He also taught her what he could about personal social and health education including drugs, alcohol and sex education, though the latter was a difficult subject for him to teach to a girl. He also taught her a few, custom subjects as she grew up such as how men think and how to trick them, how women think and how to trick them, as well as how to drive both two wheeled and four wheeled vehicles. He got the insignia of his old military unit tattooed onto Hua's right arm for her twenty first birthday, having the image placed near her shoulder, seeing her as a better soldier than some of the men he had served with and disagreed with, though this was likely a biased view on the situation.

Later in that year, however, her uncle was brutally killed in front of her by a band of marauding bandits who raided a construction site that he was working at, crushing whatever innocence was left inside her and she was taken as a prisoner, though she was more like a trophy to the bandits who captured her than any prisoner. She was in captivity for a total of three years. For those three years, the bandits did terrible things to her, made her wish she was dead. They worked her to exhaustion, frequently beat her and sometimes did worse. Her torment was ended at the age of twenty four when a mercenary force attacked and defeated the bandits, setting her and the other captives free. When asked where she was taken from, she had nothing to tell them and requested to join the mercenary band. Having taken heavy losses in their battle against the bandits, paired with her skill set led to her being accepted into the mercenary group, named The Ascension Union (ASCU), where she worked up until the present. She was not the only one, however, noticing a fellow captive also join ASCU, a rather small young woman with red hair and blue eyes had also joined up with the group. As soon as she heard about Von Bach Industries and their new EGO technology, she immediately showed her interest in acquiring it.

She now works as an Ark hunter for ASCU and through them, VBI, operating in the Bay Area. She is often seen dressed in loose fitting clothing of an arid shade, with short sleeves and gloves that leave her forearms exposed. Her weapons of choice are a long range, bolt action rifle and a compact sidearm, even when providing medical support, having some emotional attachment to her weaponry. Her experiences have left her jaded and cynical, slow to trust, but utterly loyal to those who gain that trust.

So I must say, I do love your flare for Roleplay, a refreshing and awe inspiring character bio what made me want to rush about and wonder how best to join in your Clan, as you do make the Roleplay environment there seem very attractive!

I'm still waiting on a whole lot more of Lore until I can make my story, being a Votan.

My theme of my character is a Votan Mechanist from the Pale War, made all kinds of large artillery cannons and large rail guns, so much more a engineer then a soldier , but is handy with the MMG, but more renown for making large guns.
